Istanbul Airport Lounge Guide (2024 Edition)
Istanbul Airport offers several lounge options—not only for Turkish Airlines business class passengers and elite members but also for travelers who wish to pay for access. This guide covers the features and access rules of all six major lounges.
1. Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles Lounge (International / for Gold Members)

Atmosphere & Facilities
- Area: approx. 5,600 m² / Capacity: up to 765 guests
- Lockers at the entrance
- Business booths with power outlets
- Reclining cinema seats
- Turkish wine selection
- Kids’ play area
- Turkish food (pide, dolma, soup, desserts, etc.)






Highlights
- Wide selection of Turkish “meze” pairs well with wine
- Occasional international dishes (e.g., penne arrabbiata, yakisoba)
- Fresh manti (Turkish dumplings), rice, and desserts available



Shower Rooms
- 10 rooms available
- Present your boarding pass at reception, receive a buzzer if waiting
- Includes bathrobe and full amenities
- Can have a 1–2 hour wait during peak times


Entry Requirements
- Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles Elite/Elite Plus
- Star Alliance Gold members
- Turkish Airlines Corporate Club
- 1 guest or family members traveling on the same flight
Location
After passport control, take the escalator across from Gate C1 to the upper level. Guests must check in at the desk beside the entrance.
2. Turkish Airlines Business Lounge (International / for Business Class)
Features
- Almost identical to the Miles&Smiles Lounge
- Usually less crowded and more relaxed
- Extensive alcohol selection
- Private rooms and showers available

Location
After passport control, take the escalator across from Gate E1 to the upper level
3. IGA Lounge (International / Paid Access)
Features
- Open 24/7 / Area: approx. 4,420 m²
- Lockers, showers, computers, printers
- Buffet dining with alcohol options
- Billiards, prayer room, meeting room, kids’ area
Rates & Booking
- Reserve via IGA’s official site (registration required)
- Pay at the lounge counter (credit card only)
Fees (max. 4 hours)
- Adults (12+): €85 + VAT (18%)
- Children (7–12): €42.5 + VAT
- Infants (0–6): Free
Location
After passport control, turn left and walk straight. Take the escalator next to the LC Waikiki store.
4. SkyTeam Lounge (International)
Features
- Area: 582 m² / Over 145 seats
- Turkish buffet items and light meals
- Alcoholic drinks available
- Shower rooms and free Wi-Fi
Entry Requirements
- First/Business Class passengers on SkyTeam member airlines
- SkyTeam Elite Plus members and 1 guest
Location
After passport control, turn left and go up to the mezzanine level. It’s across from the IGA Lounge.
5. Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles Lounge (Domestic)
Features
- Located near domestic gate G6 or accessible directly from outside
- No alcohol served
- Limited snack selection
- Clean restrooms
- Shuttle service to aircraft

The domestic lounge has a dedicated entrance, so you can be dropped off directly in front by car. You can even check in there, which makes it super convenient!
Entry Requirements
- Business Class passengers
- Miles&Smiles Classic Plus and above
- Star Alliance Gold members
- Turkish Airlines Corporate Club
- 1 guest or family member allowed (if on same flight)
Location
After domestic security, near Gate G6 or via the special side lane if arriving by car.
6. IGA Lounge (Domestic / Paid Access)
Features
- Buffet snacks and bar counter
- Business center, massage service, nap space
Fees (max. 4 hours)
- Adults (12+): 750 TRY + VAT (18%)
- Children (7–12): 375 TRY + VAT
- Infants (0–6): Free
